How Amanda Nunes Can Defeat Ronda Rousey At UFC 207 — The Blueprint

Antonio JonesDec 29, 2016

Nobody can touch Rousey at her best in the octagon, and on Friday, I think we're going to see Ronda out for blood.

Ansaroff on Nunes' spot as a UFC champion making their relationship more public: "It actually taught us something as well".

Ronda Rousey has been noticeably absent this week as she prepares to make her highly-anticipated return at UFC 207. Okay, they love Ronda Rousey. "Really competitive people, when they lose, they're all 'I want to get back in and do it again, do it again, do it again and prove I can get better.' I'm not saying that's always a wise decision but typical some people who lose, they want to fight, go back in there and get their redemption".

The defeat, and the one-sided nature of it, seemed to shackle her mentally in the ensuing months, with the sport's biggest star reclining into a reclusive state away from the spotlight, which saw her set pay-per-view records and main event shows around the world. On Tuesday, rumors swirled online about Rousey packing up and leaving Las Vegas, refusing to fulfill her obligations.

The odds are slightly favoring Rousey to do just that, as she's now listed as the slight -130 favorite. Completing her ascension in style, Nunes was the new bantamweight champion, and her legacy will be sealed if she can take out the former champ this Friday.

"I don't care about anything but winning this fight", Rousey said, "and I'm not spending energy on anything else".

But in her 13th professional fight against Holly Holm in Australia, the unthinkable happened: Holm not only beat Rousey, she routed her from opening bell to the fight's finish, which ended with Rousey unconscious on the canvas from a thunderous head kick.

"I don't think she wants to be in there fighting anymore". "There's never been an exception". Her taking this time off, it's a little scary.

We want Ronda Rousey to talk because we want answers. Rousey cited the grueling grind of fight promotion as a factor in her loss, and she was stunned by the gleeful reactions of schadenfreude on social media after her defeat.

"I'm very happy about this (be honored on the Out100 list)", Nunes said. "You know you're going to fight this one person, and it's like your showdown, and the most important thing in your whole life, and then millions of people are watching".
