Children wait all year for Santa's arrival and fulfillment of their Christmas lists.

Kos. There are also other festive activities taking place. Mondays through Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 5-9 p.m.

A pre-parade party hosted by the Hale County Literacy Council will begin at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fair Theatre. Pancake breakfast from 7 a.m.to 11 a.m., and Christmas Parade starts at 6 p.m.

December 10: 10:30 a.m.to 6:30 p.m. Siegel said parents should encourage their child to remember the happy memories associated with the jolly old gift giver.

The schedule for this event will begin at 9:00 am with pictures with Santa at the North Pole.

"Hometown Christmas" concludes with drink specials at Hometown Cellars Winery at 7 p.m.

The Christmas celebration is from 2 to 5 p.m.at the community center (former Gauley Bridge High School). The six contestants are Justin Holland, realtor with Regal Realtors and candidate for Texas House of Representatives; Janet Nichol, Royse City mayor; Dr. John "JJ" Villarreal, superintendent for Rockwall ISD; Amy Conner, local resident and independent distributor of Rodan + Fields Dermatologists; and back to defend her title, 2015 Celebrity Design Competition victor, Diana Steger Chapman. Whitewater festivities kick off with the City Winter Market from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at First and Main streets downtown.

There will be a cash drawing at the end of the day. There will five drawings of one $500, one $250, two $100 and one $50. The cost is $10 and does not include a ticket to the show. The continental breakfast will be followed by stories and Christmas crafts. A tree decorating contest will happen at 8 p.m. leading into the cash drawing. It was far from ideal weather, with a cold drizzle prevailing much of the day, but that didn't stop the crowds from turning out once again. Parents are welcome to bring their cameras.
