Cyborg Justino Won't Wait For a Title Fight With Germaine de Randamie

Antonio JonesFeb 16, 2017

Based off those comments, it sounds like Justino could mix in some takedown attempts, if and when she fights de Randamie.

"It wasn't like the last punch of a combination after the bell rang". "My team has been watching her for awhile and I feel confident they see opportunities to exploit her weaknesses in MMA". Holm believes the punches landed by the Dutchwoman after the bell were "intentional" and the hardest she experienced during the entire fight.

"I never want to give the pink slip to any fighter too soon, that's a decision they want to make and they need to make themselves", UFC welterweight champion and UFC on FOX analyst Tyron Woodley told TMZ. Holm was clearly dazed by one of the shots but despite this, the fight went on with de Randamie unpunished and the decision went the Iron Lady's way. "I should be on the highest of highs right now but after my long flight home to Holland, I couldn't stop thinking about the events that took place last night and some of the critics trying to take away what should be one of the greatest moments of my career".

"Then at the second time you think they would do something but [they didn't]. If that's points for her, what can you do?"

A win would have ended Holm's two-fight losing streak and quieted doubters who have said her win over Ronda Rousey in November 2015 was a fluke.

"I think it merits a rematch".

"I'm going to fight at 145".

"I know I didn't do as much damage as I wanted to do. she literally dropped to her knees once and I sit in the clinch with her".

The former bantamweight champion's call for a rematch was accepted by the newly crowned UFC women's featherweight champion. I have always trained to fight to the end or until the referee steps in. And because of that I want to say right now that I think I owe it to Holly and the fans to do this fight again to make sure that the victor of this historic belt is crystal clear. "Holly needed to chain her wrestling transitions better to get that takedowns".
