Leslie Jones Wants to Play Donald Trump and It's Hilarious

Kari ReynoldsFeb 14, 2017

"El Nacional published on Friday as Donald Trump a picture of actor Alec Baldwin, who imitates him on a television program the president of the United States".

On Friday the newspaper published a photo of the actor along with a caption calling him, "Donald Trump, president of the U.S.".

El Nacional apologizes to the readers and to all those who felt affected by the publication.

Melissa McCarthy's second bite at Sean Spicer may have gotten the prized cold-open slot on this week's episode of SNL, but we still got some quality Trump time from host Alec Baldwin.

"I'm right, they're wrong", Baldwin's Trump insisted in the sketch.

With Baldwin hosting - which means he will do more than play Trump - the question is, how far will he go?

"People took pictures of me holding up the paper, very official", Baldwin's Trump said.

But Baldwin has been a constant presence this season, as his scathing Trump impersonation has elicited numerous critiques - usually via Twitter - from the president himself, including when Trump was a nominee and the president-elect.

Earlier this week, Fallon addressed his controversial Trump interview from previous year, which saw the presenter ruffle the future President's hair.

The first media outlet to fail the Baldwin-Trump Facial Recognition Test was WJXT, a TV station from Jacksonville, Florida.

Vladimir Putin, played by Beau Bennet, also shows up to serve as Trump's character witness.

The fake Trump began his case by saying that he signed, but didn't read, the "tremendous" travel ban and that he wanted it reinstated. This all spurns out of the fact Trump gets angry at the show and angry when members of his administration are portrayed in ways he doesn't like. Putin swaggered to the podium, calling Trump his "little American Happy Meal". "Give me one day where I don't see something on CNN that scares the hell out of me!"
