Netflix has confirmed that The OA will return for a second season

Based on that success, Netflix has announced that it will go forward with a second season of the series.

Batmanglij and Marling have made it very clear that their show was created to run for multiple seasons, and that they hoped to get renewed by Netflix.

No release date for the new season has been announced. Previously blind, she now possesses sight and odd scar markings on her back.

Netflix also renewed "Love" for a third season. While she keeps the details of her absence from the town, she confides in four teenage boys and their teacher, telling mind-bending stories of abduction, multiple identities and traveling through other dimensions.

Marling's costars include Emory Cohen of "Brooklyn", Scott Wilson of "The Walking Dead", and "Harry Potter" star Jason Isaacs.

Suffice to say, Season 1 of The OA left us with more questions than answers, but will "Part II" finally explain those mysterious dance moves? But in an interview with TheWrap following the show's debut, Batmanglij teased that he and Marling had a plan for the series to continue should it be picked up for more episodes.

The OA was the Netflix hit no one saw coming last December - there was very little fanfare up until its release - and since then fans have been clamoring to know when we'll see a second season.
