ZTE expected to launch its first Android Wear smartwatch soon

The update also brings Google Assistant to your wrist, along with more wearable-appropriate ways to respond to incoming messages. However, there is also a chance that Google would also release its own hardware with it like it did with Google Pixel and Android 7.0 Nougat. The one thing that seems missing is a set of extra buttons for app shortcuts, which is the latest trend with smartwatches. It's bigger than the Style, with NFC, GPS, 4G LTE, a heart rate monitor, and dedicated buttons for Google Fit and Android Pay.

Today's launch of Android Wear 2.0 will also cater to the official introduction of the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style.

The pair, as well as Verizon's Wear24 offering, will join Android Wear watches from the likes of Casio, Tag Heuer, New Balance and (likely) ZTE during 2017.

The new smartwatches LG Watch Sport and the Watch Style differ in capability, cost, and the type of crowd its meant for. It's IP68 water resistant.

Watch Sport is expected to be resemble LG Urbane 2nd Edition LTE and Moto 360. However, leaks of the actual packaging for the upcoming Android Wear 2.0 device are circulating on the web. Not taking up the branding mantle themselves, Google is making the new devices available as LG branded smartwatches - the LG Watch Sport and the LG Watch Style.

Android Pay is also supported in the software, allowing watches equipped with NFC technology to pay for purchases with just a tap of the device. At 45.5 mm (1.79 in) round and 15.2 mm (0.6 in) thick, it follows the tradition of other bulky, masculine wearables, though it does fall short of some more hulking devices, such as the Samsung Gear S3. In addition a 240mAh battery powers the smartwatch and supports wireless charging.

According to Pocket-Lint, a Best Buy employee allegedly took a snap of the smartwatch. Meanwhile, a report on Android Police claims the Watch Sport will launch with a price of $349 ( or approx Rs 23,447), the less feature-packed LG Watch Style is priced at $249 ( or approx Rs 16,729). Availability will be expanded to carriers and retailers "across Canada, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom in the coming weeks".
